Our aim in creating intimate wedding options at Brickhouse Vineyard is to provide you with exceptional levels of personal service at this outstandingly beautiful intimate wedding venue, so you can enjoy every minute of your wedding day.
We offer two intimate wedding options, that give you exclusive use of the indoor and outdoor spaces. This means you can enjoy all aspects of Brickhouse Vineyard in total privacy on your wedding day.
You can choose between:
- The Wedding Ceremony only – offering ceremony with your closest family and friends followed by canapes and drinks reception, exclusive 3 hours venue hire.
- The Wedding Ceremony and Celebratory Meal – giving you exclusive use for the ceremony and relaxed meal for you and your loved ones, 6 hours venue hire.

Uniquely, Brickhouse Vineyard provides a dreamy, tranquil, countryside location, yet it’s easily accessible, situated just 20 minutes from Exeter. It combines fantastic outdoor spaces, such as the vineyard, landscaped terrace, gardens and canopy-covered lawn (seasonal) with the stunning, historic Round House. Its floor to roof doors and windows offer a true feeling of bringing the magic of the outside indoors. What’s more, we’ve created an intimate wedding venue that offers flexibility for you to build a wonderfully different wedding day, incorporating your ideas and preferences to make your day truly personal.
Whether you choose Brickhouse Vineyard as your intimate wedding venue because of its idyllic location, the outstanding views, the relaxed yet stylish vibe or the sheer beauty of the perfectly restored Round House with its panoramic views, you can be sure that your intimate wedding day will be just perfect.
Every intimate wedding hosted here is centred around the thatched Round House that we’ve lovingly restored to its former glory and adapted in design to create the perfect space for intimate weddings and celebrations. It’s a wonderfully versatile space that can be set out to suit any sized wedding group from 4-60. It provides the ultimate “blank canvas” for your personal choice of flowers and décor, reflecting your tastes and style.
We’re happy to share ideas and recommend suppliers, equally, we are happy to work with you and your chosen suppliers to ensure your wedding details are just as you imagine.
Your Intimate Wedding Day
Here’s what you intimate wedding day at Brickhouse Vineyard might look like.
For most couples, your intimate wedding at Brickhouse Vineyard will start at your chosen accommodation close-by, perhaps with each of you staying in separate hideouts with your wedding day inner circle. Treat yourself by booking a stylist to help with hair and make-up to create the perfect look for you intimate wedding day, or perhaps a relaxing massage or manicure on the night before your wedding.
On your wedding day, you’ll arrive at Brickhouse Vineyard by car along the sweeping driveway that skirts the vines. There is plentiful parking for you and your guests, and we can manage logistics to ensure couples who wish to stay separate until the start of their wedding ceremony have the space to do so. On arrival, our team will welcome your guests and usher your guests through to the Round House and will be on hand to welcome you and assist you in preparations for the ceremony.
After this, we’ll assemble your guests in their places in the Round House and you’ll be ready to make your big entrance through the wildflower meadow.
Your guests will bear witness to your ceremony, then we’ll host your reception drinks where your guests can raise a toast to you both to celebrate your marriage. We’ll serve canapés whilst you and your guests enjoy the afterglow of your ceremony and take in the stunning views. This is the perfect time for some more relaxed photography of you and your guests.
We’ll open the bar for your guests who can continue to enjoy your day and relax with friends and family while you have some more formal photography in and around this unique setting, capturing memories to last a lifetime. You can de-camp at this point or stay for an optional first dance in the Round House before departing. It’s a lovely note to leave on!
Your Intimate Wedding Day with a Celebratory Meal
Alternatively, you can opt for the Wedding Ceremony with a celebratory meal which is identical, but with the addition of enjoying a sit-down meal with your guests, in the Barn or ‘Al fresco’ in summer months overlooking the vineyard for wedding parties of 15 or less. Follow this with the cutting of your wedding cake and your first dance before carriages by 8pm.
We want you to enjoy every aspect of your wedding from the moment you choose your venue to the excitement of receiving your wedding photography after the event. This is why we are more than happy to share our skills and experience and provide support with your wedding planning and co-ordination in advance of your wedding and on the day. As part of this service we love sharing our ‘little black book’ of ‘go-to’ local suppliers and accommodation that we cannot recommend highly enough. We’ll provide you with recommendations for any wedding day services you wish so you can create the perfect mix for your special day. Rest assured; we’ll do all we can to make your wedding a truly special experience from start to finish!

If you decide to book your intimate wedding day at Brickhouse Vineyard, you’ll need to reserve your date with us first. Then you should contact the Devon Registrars to book them to come to Brickhouse Vineyard to conduct your wedding ceremony. You can call them directly on 01392 385070 or email register@devon.gov.uk. They’ll ask you for a £50 deposit on booking.
As soon as you’ve agreed a time with the Registrar just let us know and we’ll complete your booking by requesting a deposit. As and when you’re ready, we will be on hand to help you plan your wedding and make any recommendations you require to complete your special day.
